The Sim

Situated on the northern coast of the Sea of Shards, the Lyrius Estate is nestled in the ancient trees on the very edge of the Northern Wood.

Travelling by the coastal road from the metropolitan city of Thalian, once the capital city of an empire that stretched the length of the coast and deep into the Plain of Sighs, now it as cut off and isolated as every other town, it is kept alive view ancient trade roads that remain from the time before the ice.

Taking coastal road from the city to Lyrius offers beautiful vistas of both the vast expanse of the Plain of Sighs to the East and the seemingly never ending Sea of Shards to the West with the jagged teeth of the Red Mountain standing in the distance before the wood.

It truly is an ideal location, situated almost exactly halfway between the massive multicultural city of Thalian and the Old Wood Road that winds into the Northern Wood all the way to the Elven city of Kaliana.

The estate itself covers nearly sixteen square miles surrounding the massive main complex. A smattering of cabins and guest houses dot the land, though most activity is around the main house. The main house is made up of a large great hall, with the chambers of the Lyrius family, and a large grouping of smaller buildings containing guest chambers, staff chambers, and the various stations necessary tend to all the needs of all who call Lyrius home.

The farthest western edge of Lyrius is a massive cliff that overlooks the Sea of Shards, here is the small temple of the Goddess Aura, goddess of Dreams and Growth. Small shrines to the other 3 Gods are located at each of the remaining cardinal directions on the estate, though are far less well tended.
